Placebo @ Bournemouth Opera House May 10th 2009 By Sucker~Love on our forums.

I went to the Bournemouth gig on Sunday, eventually persuaded mum to drive me there and she ended up having my other ticket so stayed with me at the gig. Mum wanted to stand at the back BORING but I dragged her to the front, was in the 2nd row just to the left of Stef. Had a really good view until people behind me kept pushing but it's the fun of it. I wasn't keen on the support act much, I was scared it was going to be the crappy officers who I heard supported at sheffield but it was a group called something with fish in the title, a female singer who wasn't brilliant but support act worthy I guess.

Placebo came on just after 9pm I didn't even realise they were on the stage just looked up and saw Stef then started screaming and getting excited typically me Bri looked really really good, he had his hair tied back and he looked damn hot, a little skinny but hot hot hot .
They played alot from the new album, it was really funny when they played new songs that nooone knew as nooone sang along which was slightly weird. But when they played battle everyone got crazy and even crazier when they played for what its worth. They played some of the good old songs, I loved that they played EYEM one of my all time faves and they did bitter end and taste in men.

I think there were some new people om stage with them it there's a new guy who's name I missed when brian introduced him and there was the woman from angkor wat playing the violin which made a nice effect in battle.

It was such a good gig but my evil mum wouldn't let me wait around afterwards to see them. I did stalk out a tourbus only to find there was nooone on it but that was before the gig

And tonight I have to do it all again, I've got a seat for tonight so won't have as good a view as on Sunday.

Setlist of what I can remember:

kitty litter
ashtray heart
battle for the sun
for what it's worth
black-eyed
(a song i didn't catch the title of)
follow the cops back home
every you every me
julien
special needs
never ending why
devil in the details
happy you're gone
come undone
special k
song to say goodbye
----------
infra red
wouldn't it be good

taste in men
