12.04.2010 Placebo Extreme Recent Downtime Appologies for the recent downtime of Placebo Extreme. Unfortunately we've experienced a few hosting problems over the past few months which have led to us being unable to update this site. We are glad to be back online and welcome our visitors back. 12.04.2010 Placebo Meet President Pinera of Chile Last week Placebo had the great honour of meeting President Pinera of Chile at the presidential palace in Santiago. Placebo kindly donated all of their profits from their Santiago show to the Earthquake appeal. In February 2010 while President Pinera was being sworn in as president a large earthquake struck the country causing widespread damage and loss of life. Therefor Placebo donated their profits from the show to help people rebuild ther lives and homes after such an event. We are also aware of some planned dates in Indonesia, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune but at the moment we are unable to confirm the exact dates! 22.12.09 Placebo announce 3 German festival dates Placebo have today announced 3 German festival dates for 2010. Placebo will be playing: M'era Luna Festival in Hildesheim - Sunday August 8th 03.09.09 Placebo Reading Stream on TV & Online. If you missed Placebo's amazing set at the Reading festival this year then never fear you can still watch 30 minutes of the set. Today on BBC1 UK press the red button and 'Placebo' comes up on the interactive menu, click it to watch continuous streaming of their Reading set. 17.08.09 Placebo Postpone US, Mexico & Canada dates. Placebo have today announced that they have had to cancel their US, Mexico & Canada dates which were scheduled for September/October. This is due to Brian's collapse in Osaka Japan earlier this month. We've heard that he is recovering well and will be playing the remainder of the bands festival appearances at Pukkelpop and Reading & Leeds. However his doctor has advised him to take 6 weeks of rest. We can understand how people who had booked tickets and arrange travel accomadation etc are dissapointed but please remember that he health of the band is more important. We've seen Placebo cancel a few dates over their career and they always find time to reschedule any postponed/cancelled dates so we are confident that the band will return to the USA when their health and schedule allows. Placebo's next scheduled shows are at Pukkelpop Festival, and the Reading and Leeds festivals. After this their next show will be at the Dijon Zenith in France on October 21st. 14.08.09 Forums Back Online We are pleased to say that our 'This Picture' forum is now back online after being offline for a few weeks. 12.08.09 Placebo Confirm Next Singles. Placebo have now confirmed that the new single to be taken from the album 'Battle For The Sun' will be 'The Never Ending Why' which will be released in the UK & Norway on September 14th. In Europe and the rest of the world the new single will be 'Ashtray Heart' which will be released on September 21st.
10.08.09 A Message From Placebo About Lastnights Show In Osaka Placebo have posted a message on their official website regarding Brian's collapse onstage in Osaka. They wrote: "We would firstly like to thank you for all your kind words and messages of support regarding Brian’s health after fainting at the show in Osaka, Japan, yesterday. Everyone here at Placebo Extreme wishes Brian a very speedy recovery, Get Well Soon.
06.08.09 A Message About The Placebo Extreme Forum As many of our regular members may have noticed our forum has been offline for a few weeks. This is not a permanent closure. We needed to update the entire forum and tidy eveything up a bit. We felt we could only do this successfully by taking the forum offline. We are nearly complete and when the forum is back online it will have a new look and feel to it. Our members will not need to re-register as we are not deleting everything. We will put another post up when the forum is back online. We expect this to be next week sometime.

29.07.09 Placebo Announce third show for Paris Due to the incredible demand and having sold out 2 shows already, PLACEBO are delighted to announce a 3rd night in the French capital at the Paris Zenith. The 3rd show is on October 27th, and tickets go on sale tomorrow 30th July at 10am (CET). 28.07.09 Placebo To Play The Big Show PLACEBO have confirmed they are to play Channel 104.9 The Big Show at the San Jose Event Center, California on Saturday 19th September.
27.07.09 A Statement From Placebo Regarding MTV Murcia. Today Placebo posted a statement on their official website Placeboworld regarding the MTV Murcia Show in Spain. They wrote: "Last Night's MTV show in Cartagena, Spain didn't turn out as anyone had expected!In our 15 year career we have never experienced such a technical difficulty on stage. We tried as hard as we could to rectify it and we had a very professional and experienced crew who did their utmost in trying to fix it. Unfortunately it got to the stage where it was almost impossible to put on the quality show the audience there, and the tv audience over the world deserve. We are deeply apologetic to all who travelled to see us and to MTV who put in a lot of hard work and energy into making the concert happen, it was no fault of theirs or yours!! We and our crew always try as hard we can to put on the best show possible, and sadly tonight that didn't happen. We will try our hardest to make this up to you! 17.06.09 Placebo Announce Rotterdamn show. Placebo are to play the Ahoy in Rotterdam, Holland on 3rd of December. Last night many of us got to witness the incredible gig they played at cirque royale in Belgium. Tonight the guys take to the stage in Cologne and once again we will be able to view the show online. 01.06.09 Placebo Extreme Back Online Placebo Extreme is finally back online. It's taken just 5 weeks to move to a different host and start the website from scratch.
